The navigation buttons enable you to step through the records, one at a time, either forward or backward. They also allow you to move to the first or the last record.
The navigation buttons also tell you how many records are currently in your list and which is the current record. You can change the current record number to move to any record.
Note: Do not confuse the Current record number with the Contact ID. The Contact ID is an internal system number that each contact has. This ID number never changes. The Current record number is a relative number and changes depending on the sort order, the Filter and other factors. You should not rely on the Current record number to be consistent.
Navigation buttons are available in many of the screens throughout CMS. They all work the same way, allowing you to navigate the records of the screen you are viewing.
You can also use the Find Bar at the left of the Main screen to jump to any contact. (See Searching).
